Mr. Vicente Miguel Arrué starts our business in 1980 as “Sondeos y Perforaciones Vicente Arrué Madrid” (Explorations and Drilling Vicente Arrué Madrid), specializing in well drilling to collect water using the wire percussion system.

 

Driven by his inquisitiveness and vision of future, he learns and develops other drilling techniques, creating in 1989 GEOSON, S.L. which focuses on drilling for all purposes: Water Wells, Micro Piling, Special Soil Injections… Geotechnics.

 

We provide innovative approaches towards mining, exploration and water services.

 

GEOSON cater for a wide variety of customers, from private customers, public works, public administration, and other organizations in both Spain and France.

QUALITY AND ACREDITATIONS

GEOSON is a Test Laboratory recognized by the «Infrastructure and Transport Council of the Valencian Regional Government» in the GTC area (Exploration, sampling and “in situ” soil measurements).

It has an affidavit, according to Royal Decree 410/2010, registered at the General Registry of the TBC (Technical building code) at the Section 5-1. Test Laboratories for Building Quality.

GEOSON, S.L. is certified as a Test Laboratory with an internal quality control system based on the UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025 regulation «General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories»

Geothermal Installations

    At GEOSON we have the necessary means to drill in any type of terrain till the required depth (Double head, OD system, Sanders, Mortar Injection Equipment ...)

   We have the ability to start up various drilling rigs simultaneously in large works. Furthermore, we have a wide range of machinery, which allows us to be good in small spaces (inner courtyards ...). In addition to drilling effectively, we do it as cleanly as possible, driving the debris into containers.

 

   Addicional Services

Micro Piling, Bolts and Anchoring System

Cylindrical elements with a diameter of less than 300 mm, perforated in the ground, provided with an inner steel reinforcement (tubular in Micro Piling, continuous threaded bars in Bolts and cables in Anchorages) and a grout coating of cement or mortar.

In the case of anchors, the steel straps are tightened with the hydraulic jacks to reach the working load. They work mainly by the friction of the shaft with the ground, to distribute the loads transmitted by the structure in the different lithologic levels that can be found in the terrain.

 

Micro Piling classification based on injection system

SINGLE GLOBAL INJECTION (IGU): Injected in a single phase from bottom to top.

REPEATED INJECTIONS (IR): Reinjected up to twice through sleeve tubes with non-return valves.

REPEATED AND SELECTIVE INJECTIONS (IRS): Reinjected several times through sleeve tubes with non-return valves, using double packers and controlled pressure.

 

 Water Wells

GEOSON is a specialist driller of wells for drinking water, irrigation water and industrial water. Over 30 years of experience back us up.

GEOSON undertakes a wide range of projects, including large scale village water drilling programs, highly specialized drilling projects to acces mineral water (bottled water industry) utilizing sanitary protection methods, and large diameter well fields for residential supply in urban environments.

GEOSON has drilled water wells in all types of geological formations ranging from 20 meters to 2.500 meters in depth.

It has experience in a wide range of techniques used in water well drilling, as well as expertise related to the inspection, servicing and rehabilitation of existing wells.

 The applications of drainages are very diverse:

• Relieve interstitial pressures (Californian drainages on slopes)

Depending on the objective to be reached, will be defined the inclination, depth, drilling diameter and the type of pipe and filter that have to be installed

Borehole drilling (destructive drilling or with sample extraction), and instrumentation installation for:

Horizontal and inclined drilling (destructive drilling or with sample extraction)

Soil injections and Land Improvements

It is performed through a system of boreholes drilled in the soil. Through the boreholes a stabilizing agent is injected, filling the voids in the soil. The role of a stabilizing agent is to coat or react with soil particles and form a stable soil body. We can use as stabilizing agents: cement grout, mortar grout, resins, etc.

 

Depending on the purpose and the type of material to be injected (more or less penetration of the mixture) we can find several types of soil injections:

• Permeation grouting: Injection of a fluid grout into the ground without displacing or changing the soil structure.
• Compaction grouting: Process by which grout is injected through probes into the ground. The grout fills voids and fracture the soil.
• Void Filling: Using this process, grout is pumped under pressure into a void beneath a structure, displacing it by fracturing, opening and filling it with the injected material.

Soakaway (Dry Well)

A Soakaway or Dry Well is an underground structure that disposes of unwanted water by dissipating it into the ground, where it merges with the local groundwater.

It can be the definitive solution in:

• Houses with problems of basement flooding in torrential rain seasons.
• Houses without municipal drain to connect to the water treatment system.
• Municipalities with problems of floodings in torrential rain seasons.

 

Geotechnical Investigation

Geotechnical investigation include a site examination of soil in the area to determine how they will impact on proposed construction.

 

Site investigations are needed to gain an understanding of the area in which the engineering will take place in assessing risks posed by site conditions.

 

The geotechnical investigation is mandatory in building, according to Royal Decree 314/2006 of 17^th March; Technical Building Code (TBC) that establishes the demands to be met by buildings in terms of the basic security and living conditions requirements, established in turn in Law 38/1999 of 5th November, the Town Planning and Development Law (LOE); Code on Structural Concrete (Spanish abbreviation -EHE 08) (Royal Decree 1247/2008)
